Football Preview: South Gallia Rebels vs. Eastern Eagles
South Gallia is 1-9 against Eastern since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. South Gallia took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Friday. They blew past River Valley, posting a 42-7 victory at home.
Meanwhile, everything came up roses for Eastern at home against Wirt County last Friday as the team secured a 47-16 win. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Eagles' disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 333rd in Ohio, while the Tigers are ranked 64th in West Virginia).
Treyvon Rembert had a dynamite game for Eastern, rushing for 128 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries. With that strong performance, Rembert is now averaging an impressive 104.5 rushing yards per game. Lance Hensler got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.
