Football Recap: Napoleon Comes Up Short on the Road Against Defiance

Napoleon had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They and the Defiance Bulldogs were almost perfectly matched up, but the Wildcats suffered a 20-19 loss. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

Napoleon and Defiance should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Wildcats will take on Maumee at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th with a big rank advantage (184 vs. 397). Meanwhile, Defiance (ranked 118th) will meet Ottawa-Glandorf (ranked 247th) at 7:00 p.m. on the 29th.
