Softball Recap: River City Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for River City's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Rodriguez Mustangs on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Raiders' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

River City saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Sauceda, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

River City has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season. As for Rodriguez, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. River City will host Pioneer at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Raiders' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Patriots have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Rodriguez, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sacramento at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
