Softball Recap: Ellsworth Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Ellsworth had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over St. Croix Central. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 13-3 victory back in April.

Brooke Olson was a standout: she went a perfect 1-for-1 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Delaney Johnson, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

With the win, Ellsworth broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 16-9. As for St. Croix Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.

Looking ahead, Ellsworth will face off against Rice Lake on Thursday. St. Croix Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
