Softball Preview: Alisal Trojans vs. King City Mustangs        
        
		
            
 The Alisal Trojans will head out on the road to  face off against  the King City Mustangs at 11:00  a.m.  on Saturday. Alisal is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 13  runs per game this season.
 Alisal unfortunately witnessed the end of their  nine-game winning streak on Wednesday. They suffered a  rough 11-1 defeat at the hands of Carmel. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest  runs Alisal has scored all season.
  Jordan Smith was cooking despite her team's loss,   going 3-for-3 with a  stolen base and a  double. She has been hot recently, having posted  at least one  stolen base the last six times she's  played.
 Meanwhile, King City waltzed into their contest  on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They won by a  run and slipped past the Breakers  5-4.
  Malaya Carrillo spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on 12 hits.
 On the hitting side,  Lisa Villanueva was  excellent,  going 1-for-3 with a  home run. Another player making a difference was  Amber Mercado, who  went 1-for-3 with a  triple, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 Alisal's loss  ended  a  three-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 10-2. As for King City, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record  this season.
 The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Alisal has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.9  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like King City struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 3.7. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Alisal skirted past King City  8-7 when the teams last played  back in February. The rematch might be a little tougher for Alisal since the  squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
