While Elkhorn North's victory against Hastings wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Elkhorn North won by a run and slipped past Hastings 3-2. Elkhorn North hasn't had any issues with Hastings recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Max Yager tossed a big game, pitching 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Elkhorn North's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jake Janssen, who went 1-for-4 with one triple and one run. That triple was Janssen's first of the season. Another was Ethan Asmus, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Elkhorn North's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Hastings, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
