Basketball Game Preview: Delmarva Christian Royals vs. Wilmington Charter Force

The Delmarva Christian Royals will venture away from home to challenge the Wilmington Charter Force at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

On Saturday, Delmarva Christian made easy work of Red Lion Christian Academy and carried off a 55-32 win. The Royals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 23 points or more this season.

Delmarva Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Light, who posted ten points and three steals. Light is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Noah Barbrow was another key player, putting up nine points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Wilmington Charter lost 82-58 to Conrad Science on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Force in their matchups with the Red Wolves: they've now lost six in a row.

Delmarva Christian has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.7 points per game. As for Wilmington Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.

Delmarva Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Wilmington Charter in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 78-71. The rematch might be a little tougher for Delmarva Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
