Tahoma blew Kentwood out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Kentwood got their revenge. The Bears fell just short of the Conquerors by a score of 27-24. The Bears' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, Tahoma saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Brady Bonnell rushed for 127 yards and one score on only seven carries.

Darian Williams was nothing short of spectacular for Kentwood: he rushed for 74 yards and three TDs, and also picked up 61 receiving yards. Marquise Jones was another key player, rushing for 143 yards.

Tahoma's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Kentwood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tahoma will face off against Stadium at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kentwood, they will square off against Kentridge at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Conquerors will be up against the Chargers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 54 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
