Softball Recap: ALA - Ironwood Drops Season-High Score on San Tan Foothills

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask ALA - Ironwood). Everything went their way against the San Tan Foothills Sabercats on Tuesday as they made off with a 22-16 victory. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Sabercats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Samantha Campano was a standout: she got on base in four of her six plate appearances with one home run, three stolen bases, and five RBI. Those three stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Savannah Alleyne, who went 4-for-5 with three stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI.

ALA - Ironwood was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .587. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

ALA - Ironwood's victory bumped their record up to 4-13. As for San Tan Foothills, they dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.
