Basketball Game Preview: Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys vs. Balmorhea Bears

The Grandfalls-Royalty Cowboys are taking a road trip to take on the Balmorhea Bears at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Grandfalls-Royalty has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the contest with ten straight losses, while Balmorhea will come in with three straight wins.

Two weeks ago, Grandfalls-Royalty had to suffer through a 73-41 loss at the hands of Buena Vista.

Despite the defeat, Grandfalls-Royalty had strong showings from Nicky Sanchez, who posted six points, and Aiden Dominguez, who scored six points.

Meanwhile, Balmorhea beat Fort Davis 52-45 on Tuesday.

Balmorhea's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Grandfalls-Royalty, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10.

Grandfalls-Royalty beat Balmorhea 42-35 in their previous matchup back in February of 2017. Will Grandfalls-Royalty repeat their success, or does Balmorhea have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
