Danny Maranda and Jose Garcia* provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Killingly. The longest such play in Eastern Connecticut - Large this season, the connection resulted in 80 yards.

New London took down the Redmen 56-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Maranda threw for 257 yards and 4 touchdowns and ran for 11 yards during the win.

The Whalers' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground Orinn Parke* chipped in 123 yards. Garcia* helped New London's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 99 yards.

He was 13-19 with 0 interceptions.

Kevin Shaw was a key player and the best on defense this week as New London defeated Killingly. He forced 1 fumble and grabbed 1 sacks.

Nico Ramos* was the best receiver in the league this week as Duane Maranda's team topped Chad Neal's team. Ramos* tallied 3 receptions for 106 yards. Garcia* helped New London's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 99 yards.

The Whalers' Maranda and Garcia* led the league in both passing and receiving yards. Maranda has thrown for 851 yards this season, while Garcia* has 19 catches for 309 yards. Eric Stirten from East Lyme leads the league in rushing with 665 yards.

New London made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,242 from 6,028. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 56-14 victory over the Redmen last week.
