Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Linden). They really took it to the Riverbank Bruins for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-3 victory on the road. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 35 points or more this season.

Matthew Schallberger continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 277 yards and four touchdowns on perfect 7-for-7 passing, while also punching in a rushing score. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for four or more in the last three games he's played. Dax Weber was in the mix as well, providing Linden with a touchdown.

Linden wouldn't let Riverbank keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Linden can thank Weber and Braden Busalacchi for forcing both of them. Linden got some further help from Gavin Davis: he made ten total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception which he returned one-yard for a touchdown.

Linden pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Riverbank, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season.

Linden will look to defend their home field on Friday against Calaveras at 7:00 p.m. Calaveras will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Linden surely won't give up without a fight. As for Riverbank, they will head out on the road to take on Bret Harte at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverbank is facing Bret Harte at the right time seeing as Bret Harte is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
