Basketball Recap: Dirigo Piles Up the Points Against Traip

Dirigo won the last time they faced Traip and things went their way on Saturday too. The Dirigo Cougars simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Traip Rangers 52-23. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 24 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Dirigo and bumps their season record up to 6-6. As for Traip, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season.

Dirigo will square off against Oak Hill at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Oak Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully Dirigo likes a good challenge. As for Traip, they will face off against Waynflete at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Traip is facing Waynflete at the right time seeing as Waynflete is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
