Basketball Game Preview: Hauser Jets vs. Morristown Yellow Jackets

Hauser is preparing for their first conference matchup of the season on Friday. They are taking a road trip to square off against the Morristown Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m.

On Saturday, Hauser was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 59-54 to Columbus North. The Jets haven't had much luck with the Bull Dogs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Stryker Gill, who posted 12 points in addition to seven assists and four steals. Another player making a difference was Waylon Harper, who shot 71% from the field en route to 15 points.

Meanwhile, Morristown took their matchup on Monday with ease, bagging a 67-32 win over Traders Point Christian. The Yellow Jackets pushed the score to 57-25 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights had no chance of recovering from.

The victory got Morristown back to even at 1-1. As for Hauser, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Everything came up roses for Hauser against Morristown when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 77-40 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jets since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
