Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Valley). They were the clear victors by a 16-9 margin over the North Pole Patriots on Wednesday. The victory continues a trend for the Wolf Pack in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won five in a row.

Mikko Sunnie made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because West Valley is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 4-8 otherwise. Sunnie was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.
