Santa Margarita waltzed into their contest on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Loyola Cubs by a score of 3-1.

The victory didn't come easy: Loyola scored at least 22 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-23, 24-26, 25-22.

Santa Margarita's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-4. As for Loyola, their loss ended a 17-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-2.

Coming up, Santa Margarita will welcome Pacifica Christian at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Loyola, they will be playing at home against Mira Costa at 7:00 p.m. on March 21st.
