Football Recap: Flowers Skates Past Parkdale with Ease

Flowers got themselves on the board against Parkdale on Saturday, but Parkdale never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 50-0. The game marked the Jaguars' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Kodi Gardner was his usual excellent self, rushing for 128 yards and three scores on only eight carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 76 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Flowers was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 220 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 188 rushing yards in three consecutive contests.

Flowers didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Cavare Durandisse and Risan Smith.

Flowers' record is now 5-0. As for Parkdale, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Flowers will face off against Bladensburg at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Parkdale, they will challenge Oxon Hill at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Clippers' defense has only allowed 14 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
