Volleyball Recap: Methuen Beats North Andover for Their Third Straight Victory

Methuen entered their tilt with North Andover on Wednesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Scarlet Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in April.

The win didn't come easy: North Andover scored at least 18 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 21-25, 25-20.

Methuen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shawn LaDuke, who had eight digs and three blocks. LaDuke is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 18 or more in each of the last 20 games he's played dating back to last season. Andrew Cox was another key player, getting 21 kills, seven digs, and one block.

When it comes to explaining why North Andover lost, don't look at Prady Mistry. Despite the final result, he had 11 digs and two aces.

Methuen's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for North Andover, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-8.
