Softball Recap: Grove City Takes a Loss

Grove City couldn't beat Marysville on Thursday even though they stacked four runs on them in the second inning. The Greyhounds came up short against the Monarchs, falling 14-8. The Greyhounds have struggled against the Monarchs recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Grove City's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Marysville, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-6-1.

Grove City and Marysville should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Greyhounds will take on Newark at 5:00 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (134 vs. 344). Meanwhile, Marysville (ranked 29th) will meet Canal Winchester (ranked 349th) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
