Basketball Recap: Mackay Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Mackay extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Kaizer Summers. The Mackay Miners took their matchup on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 69-32 victory over the Clark County Bobcats thanks in part to Summers, who made all 13 shots he took racking up 27 points. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Mackay's points.

Mackay has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game. As for Clark County, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

Mackay will head out to challenge Watersprings at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Watersprings' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last five contests. As for Clark County, they are taking a road trip to take on Grace Lutheran at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
