Volleyball Recap: Aquinas Comes Up Short

Aquinas was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Concordia Mustangs. If the Monarchs were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Concordia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alyse Moulton, who had three digs and two aces. That's the most aces Moulton has posted since back in September. Bella Johannes also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Aquinas' loss dropped their record down to 3-22. As for Concordia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season.

Aquinas wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against St. Cecilia on the 11th. As for Concordia, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Grand Island Central Catholic on the 11th.
