Waverly has gone a perfect 3-0 against East Lansing recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Warriors will welcome the Trojans at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Waverly's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while East Lansing has been banged up by nine consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Monday, Waverly beat Okemos 4-1. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Nevaeh Larner spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 12 Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on McKenna Bensinger, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, East Lansing lost 13-3 to St. Johns on Tuesday.

Nevaeh Vasquez was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases. The team also got some help courtesy of Sophia Troshak, who went 2-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

East Lansing's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Waverly, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.

East Lansing's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Waverly has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .441. It's a different story for East Lansing, though, as they've only averaged .338. Will they be able to contain Waverly's hitters?

Everything went Waverly's way against East Lansing in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Waverly made off with a 12-2 win. Do the Warriors have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
