Baseball Recap: Fairless Comes Up Short

Fairless was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 11-7 to the Claymont Mustangs. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 6-2 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Blake Gregorich was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. Peter Snavely also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Fairless' defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Claymont, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-13.

Fairless and Claymont could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. The Falcons (ranked 566th) will meet Triway (ranked 107th) at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Claymont will square off against Ridgewood at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank disadvantage (408 vs. 137).
