Softball Recap: Mt. Pleasant Comes Up Short

Mt. Pleasant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the Summertown Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, with their most recent defeat being a 12-0 loss two weeks ago.

Mt. Pleasant's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Summertown, they are on a roll lately: they've won 20 of their last 22 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 29-5-1 record this season.

Mt. Pleasant does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Summertown, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 14-0 victory against Lewis County on the 6th.
