Basketball Game Preview: Massac County Patriots vs. Eldorado Eagles

Massac County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Eldorado recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Patriots will face off against the Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Massac County will be strutting in after a win while Eldorado will be coming in after a defeat.

Massac County had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They snuck past Meridian with a 67-62 victory.

Dee Carruthers had a dynamite game, going 12-for-20 to rack up 29 points and eight rebounds. That's the most boards he has posted since back in November of 2024. Jude Harmon was another key player, putting up 16 points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Eldorado took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of Vienna. Eldorado hasn't had much luck with Vienna recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Everything came up roses for Massac County against Eldorado in their previous meeting back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 72-43 win. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
