Volleyball Game Preview: Tahquitz Titans vs. Elsinore Tigers + How To Watch

Tahquitz is 0-4 against Elsinore since August of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Titans are taking a road trip to challenge the Tigers at 5:15 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Titans on Thursday. Tahquitz came up short against Temescal Canyon, falling 3-0.

While Tahquitz was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Temescal Canyon's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 25-19.

Despite their defeat, Tahquitz saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jaden Gonzalez, who had 14 digs and 12 assists, was perhaps the best of all. Gonzalez is on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reina Collins, who had 13 digs and one assist.

Meanwhile, Elsinore lost 3-0 to San Jacinto on Thursday.

While Elsinore was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-19, 25-23.

Elsinore's loss dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Tahquitz, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.

Tahquitz might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Elsinore in their previous meeting back in September. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
