Baseball Recap: Citrus Hill Comes Up Short

Citrus Hill dropped their record down to 15-6 on Thursday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Heritage Patriots by a score of 1-0. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Hawks' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Citrus Hill saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Farmer, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

As for Heritage, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-8. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch.

On Heritage's side, the result came thanks to Wade Johnson's shutout, as he gave up just three hits. Johnson has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.
