Salado and Taylor are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Eagles will welcome the Ducks at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Salado knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matchups -- so hopefully Taylor likes a good challenge.

Salado is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Lampasas just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 72-55 bruising from the Badgers.

Meanwhile, Taylor ended up a good deal behind Marble Falls on Tuesday and lost 43-28. The contest marked the Ducks' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Taylor's loss dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Salado, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 20-6.

Salado beat Taylor 55-48 when the teams last played back in February of 2025. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Ducks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
