Recap: Rising Sun Tigers vs. Fallston Cougars
After a string of four wins, the Rising Sun Tigers's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They suffered a rough 48-27 defeat at the hands of Fallston. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Rising Sun in their matchups with Fallston: they've now lost six in a row.
It was another big night for Ayla Galloway, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds for Fallston. Galloway is crushing the rebound category: she's posted at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Natalie Wirth, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Rising Sun's loss dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Fallston, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rising Sun will challenge Harford Tech at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Fallston, they will head out on the road to challenge Patterson Mill at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. Fallston is coming into the matchup with nine straight wins on the road, so Patterson Mill is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
