Traverse City Central posted their closest win since January 7th on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Midland Chemics 48-46. The win was all the more spectacular given the Trojans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 70th in Michigan, while the Chemics are ranked 17th in Michigan).

Traverse City Central is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.5 points over those games. This is the second loss in a row for Midland and nudges their season record down to 18-3.
