Basketball Recap: Bothell Extends Winning Streak to Three

Bothell entered their tilt with Liberty on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Patriots 61-35. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cougars also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bothell to victory, but perhaps none more so than Samantha Brooke, who went 6-for-7 on her way to 16 points and three steals. The dominant performance also gave Brooke a new career-high in shooting accuracy (86%). Bailey Petrin was another key player, shooting 60% from the field en route to 14 points and seven rebounds.

Bothell's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Liberty, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-6.

Bothell and Bellevue will compete for holiday cheer at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Wolverines have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Liberty, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 61-35 defeat against Bothell/Inglemoor on the 17th.
