Basketball Recap: Reeves Comes Up Short

Reeves suffered their biggest defeat since December 27, 2023 on Friday. They took a blow against the Shepherd Pirates, falling 89-61. The Raiders have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Shepherd got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brayden White out in front who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave White a new career-high in points. Rogelio Covarrubias was another key player, going 7 of 11 on his way to 17 points along with eight boards and seven assists.

Reeves' defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Shepherd, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-8.

Reeves didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 85-71 loss against East Chambers on the 27th. As for Shepherd, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 57-30 victory against Kelly Catholic on the 27th.
