It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Trinity can now relate to. They and the Allen Eagles were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but they suffered a 22-21 defeat. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Brady Bricker was his usual excellent self, rushing for 81 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, while also throwing for 151 yards on 19 of 27 attempts for Allen. The dominant performance gave Bricker a new career-high in rushing yards. Allen also got a significant boost from Micah Ellis, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.

Trinity's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-2. As for Allen, they pushed their record up to 13-0 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Allen, they will take on North Crowley at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Crowley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully Allen likes a good challenge.
