Baseball Game Preview: Talawanda Brave vs. Franklin Wildcats

Talawanda is on an eight-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Franklin a three-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Talawanda Brave will host the Franklin Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. Talawanda has given up an average of 12.2 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Talawanda fell victim to Oak Hills and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Highlanders, falling 14-0.

Meanwhile, Franklin had just enough and edged out Miamisburg 6-5 on Tuesday.

Talawanda's defeat dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Franklin, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Talawanda couldn't quite get it done against Franklin when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 9-5. Can the Brave avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
