Southlands Christian had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against Capistrano Valley Christian. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Southlands Christian has posted against Capistrano Valley Christian since October 3, 2017.

Southlands Christian was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (107-100), but they still managed to win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 26-24, 25-22, 14-25, 15-11.

Despite the loss, Capistrano Valley Christian still got an impressive performance from Joy Carney, who had 48 digs and two aces. McKenzie Meserve was another key player, getting six digs and three aces.
