Basketball Recap: Simon Gratz Takes a Loss

Simon Gratz was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were dealt a 67-27 loss at the hands of the Imhotep Charter Panthers. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Simon Gratz had strong showings from Quadir Jones, who posted eight points, and Kyhir Alexander, who put up eight points.

Simon Gratz's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Imhotep Charter, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-5.

Coming up, Simon Gratz will venture away from home to face off against Glasgow at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Imhotep Charter, they will challenge Providence Christian Academy at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday. The Panthers will need to watch out since the LIONS have now posted at least 55 points in their last 16 contests.
