Volleyball Game Preview: Conestoga Cougars vs. Falls City Tigers

The Conestoga Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Falls City Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Conestoga managed to slip by Johnson County Central the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Cougars came up short against the Thunderbirds on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-9, 25-15.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Falls City challenged Exeter-Milligan/Friend on Saturday. The Tigers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats.

Falls City's loss dropped their record down to 9-11. As for Conestoga, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.

Conestoga took their victory against Falls City when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
