Basketball Game Preview: Anacostia Indians vs. Bard Falcons

The Anacostia Indians will square off against the Bard Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Anacostia comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Last Friday, Anacostia took a blow against Jackson-Reed, falling 75-17. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' District of Columbia basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Tigers are ranked first).

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 71-44, which was the final score in Bard's tilt against McDonough on Monday.

Anacostia's loss dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Bard, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-16.

Anacostia was able to grind out a solid win over Bard when the teams last played back in January of 2024, winning 52-43. Does Anacostia have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bard turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
