Volleyball Recap: Franklin's Winning Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Franklin managed to slip by Summit the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Admirals lost 3-0 to the Spartans on Tuesday. The Admirals' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

While Franklin was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-17, 25-12.

Ellyson Fogle paced Franklin's offense, picking up 14 kills. Fogle got some help from Emerson Garner and her 19 assists.

Franklin's loss dropped their record down to 19-8. As for Summit, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Franklin will square off against Brentwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Summit, they will take on Summertown at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
