Volleyball Recap: Southeast Career Tech Comes Up Short

Southeast Career Tech came into their game on Wednesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Roadrunners have suffered since February 27th.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-11, 25-19.

Sierra Vista was led to victory by Zaihen Arenas-Bailey and Christian Diaz. Arenas-Bailey had 11 assists and eight digs, while Diaz had 11 digs and four assists. Those four assists gave Diaz a new career-high. Maxwell Hittelman also deserves some recognition as he had his first block of the season.

Southeast Career Tech's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Sierra Vista, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-7.

Coming up, Southeast Career Tech will take on Mojave at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sierra Vista, they are taking a road trip to square off against Silverado at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
