The Galena Pirates will face off against the Stockton Blackhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Galena came into this matchup off a tough 32-point loss two weeks ago. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Forreston by a score of 22-20 on Friday. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Stockton put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 60-20 win over Morrison. Given the Blackhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 83rd, while the Mustangs are ranked 258th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stockton's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Galena, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.
