Volleyball Recap: La Salle Comes Up Short

La Salle was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Walnut Hills Eagles. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

While La Salle ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-22, 25-18.

Isaiah Walker paced La Salle's offense, picking up nine kills. Walker got some help from Owen Ambach and his 22 assists. Ambach was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

La Salle's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Walnut Hills, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.

La Salle has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against West Clermont on the 8th. Walnut Hills has also already played their next contest (against Kings), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
