Asbury Park moved up to 130 from 184 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Shore - Central B. The Bishops were able to move up by topping South River 42-7.

Shore Regional added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Palmyra, 10-7. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Blue Devils.

Robert Barksdale threw for 69 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Brian Miller provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Shore Regional topped the Panthers. Miller's key target this week was Nick Kessler, who caught 2 passes for 28 yards.

Barksdale put up the best numbers through the air as Asbury Park bested the Rams.

Keith Killea's team's Barksdale and Jaedon Stephens have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-2 quarterback Barksdale has thrown for 896 yards this season, while Stephens has 21 catches for 329 yards. Mark Costantino's team's Miller leads the league in rushing yards with 845.

Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Bishops' Stephens goes up against the Blue Devils' Mike Moore.

Next week's game between Asbury Park and Shore Regional will feature an aerial matchup as Barksdale tests his arm against Moore's defensive ability.

The Bishops are in third place, while the Blue Devils are in first place.

There should be lots of points scored when Asbury Park and Shore Regional face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Bishops comes in having scored 181 this season, while the Blue Devils have scored 257. Asbury Park scored 42 points last week as it beat South River.

Asbury Park took down the Rams 42-7 last week, the largest margin of any game. Barksdale ran for 41 yards during the win.
