Preview: Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers vs. Pioneer Panthers
The Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Pioneer Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on February 8th. Hopefully Indiana School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Indiana School for the Deaf took a serious blow against Southwestern, falling 73-43. That's two games in a row now that Indiana School for the Deaf has lost by exactly 30 points.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Jayden DeFalco, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamiroquai Pickney, who scored five points along with seven rebounds.
Pioneer fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Knox by a score of 45-35 on Tuesday.
Indiana School for the Deaf's loss dropped their record down to 11-5. As for Pioneer, their win bumped their record up to 6-11.
Indiana School for the Deaf suffered a grim 56-36 defeat to Pioneer in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Indiana School for the Deaf, Caleb Sweet (who scored 24 points along with five rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
