Volleyball Recap: Great Hearts Irving Victorious

The Great Hearts Irving Mustangs beat the Marcus Marauders 3-1 on Tuesday.

Great Hearts Irving had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-14, 25-17.

Great Hearts Irving's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Marcus, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Great Hearts Irving will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Decatur at 7:00 p.m. on April 11. After both having extra time off, Marcus and Byron Nelson will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marcus is facing Byron Nelson at the right time seeing as Byron Nelson is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
