Ferrell led Park Tudor (Indianapolis, Ind.) to Class 2A state-runner-up honors as a sophomore. He is a good friend of Washington (Ind.) senior center Cody Zeller, who committed to the Hoosiers the previous week.

Ferrell is ranked 13th on MaxPreps Basketball Editor Jason Hickman's 2012 Players to Watch national list.

Earlier in the week, Indiana also received commitments from talented 6-6 Indianapolis sophomores Collin Hartman (Cathedral) and Devin Davis Jr. (Warren Central).

The Star reported that Indiana has landed seven nationally-ranked players since August as coach Tom Crean puts his rebuilding program into high gear.
