Volleyball Recap: Destiny Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Destiny Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Rio Linda Knights, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Knights this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on March 5th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-7, 25-18.

Daniel Odufuwa paced Destiny Christian Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Odufuwa got some help from Peter Carey and his eight assists. Joshua Wright controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

Destiny Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Rio Linda, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.

Destiny Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against El Camino on the 2nd. As for Rio Linda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against Casa Roble on the 2nd.
