Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Rayner Beene and Kase Lindly Lead Wright City to Victory

Wright City won against Valliant back in December of 2024 with 68 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Tuesday. The Wright City Lumberjax enjoyed a cozy 68-52 win over the Smithville Braves. That's more bragging rights for the Lumberjax, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Wright City was led to victory by Kase Lindly and Rayner Beene. Lindly made all 6 shots he took from beyond the arc for 26 points and six steals, while Beene went 6 for 14 on his way to 18 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lindly has scored at least a third of Wright City's points. Another player making a difference was Kayden Cummings, who posted 12 points.

Wright City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in February of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Wright City and bumps their season record up to 10-1. As for Smithville, they moved to 10-2 with that loss, which also ended their nine-game winning streak.

Wright City didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 75-22 win against Santa Fe South on the 8th. As for Smithville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-18 victory against Caney on the 8th.
