Geneseo hadn't done well against Moline recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Maple Leafs came out on top against the Maroons by a score of 2-0. Winning may never get old, but the Maple Leafs sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

While Geneseo won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 27-25.

Geneseo's victory bumped their record up to 17-8. As for Moline, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-13.

Geneseo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 defeat against LaSalle-Peru on the 18th. As for Moline, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against York on the 17th.
