It was a good run, but Bentley unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a hard 55-36 fall against the St. Vincent de Paul Mustangs. If the Phoenix were looking for revenge after losing 53-22 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Vincent de Paul was led to victory by Dylan Chelew and Jack Mountanos. Chelew went 9 of 18 en route to 26 points, while Mountanos went 6 for 13 on his way to 15 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Mountanos has posted since back in December of 2023.

Bentley's loss dropped their record down to 7-3. As for St. Vincent de Paul, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Bentley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 57-55 win against KIPP SF College Prep on the 13th. As for St. Vincent de Paul, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 74-71 defeat against Redwood Christian on the 13th.
